EWRA Took part On partners Convening Workshop in Naivasha, Kenya from April 24 -27
EWRA took part on the ACSI inaugural partners’ convening which was held on Tuesday 25th & Wednesday 26th April 2023 at Great Rift Valley Lodge - Naivasha, Kenya. Mrs Feven Araya , Executive Director and Mrs Yordanos Getahun Head of Gender and Inclusion and also focal of the took part on the convening.
The goal was to provide a platform for dialogue, network building and learning, strengthening solidarity and resilience building and to further achieve the following objectives: To identify and cement key feminist leadership principles and organizational wellness for the moment; to reflect on the civic space issues and how to build resilient organizations in the face of a closing civic space; and to network and build interconnectedness and solidarity.
The event started with the welcoming statement of Dr. Bethule Nyamambi she warmly welcomed participants and noted that this was the first time that members of the initiative were meeting since the implementation of the ACSI, following Opening Remarks by Briggs Bomba, Programs Director – Trust Africa who started off his remarks by playing a song on chance and opportunity. He outlined that his remarks would focus on introducing Trust Africa further, as all the participants were familiar with the organization.
