Evidence generation

Conducting qualitative studies and community conversations on the engagement of women in political, protection, election, and peacebuilding processes is crucial for generating evidence and understanding the unique challenges, experiences, and perspectives of women in these domains. Qualitative studies provide a rich and nuanced understanding of women's participation and highlight the barriers they face, as well as the enabling factors that contribute to their engagement. By conducting interviews, focus groups, and participatory discussions, researchers can capture the voices and stories of women, allowing their experiences to inform policy and programming decisions. Community conversations provide a platform for dialogue and collective problem-solving, empowering women to share their insights, aspirations, and strategies for meaningful participation. Through evidence generation, we can identify gaps, address systemic inequalities, and develop targeted interventions that support and promote the inclusion of women in political, protection, election, and peacebuilding processes. Ultimately, this evidence contributes to informed decision-making, advocacy, and the implementation of inclusive policies and practices that advance gender equality and women's empowerment.
